At least one dead and six injured in six-vehicle collision on West Kowloon

At around 1am, a fatal accident occurred on West Kowloon Highway, involving six vehicles, including four private cars and two cabs, traveling along the road towards the Western Harbour Crossing (WHC) and colliding with each other near the Olympic Station, two of the private cars were seriously damaged, with car parts scattered all over the place, and the front engine of one of the cabs was dislodged.
A large number of firefighters and police officers arrived at the scene, rescued the trapped injured, one was confirmed dead at the scene, the remaining six injured, three were sent to Princess Margaret Hospital, one was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where two of them were unconscious; the remaining one man and one woman were sent to Kwong Wah Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident. Due to the accident, the West Kowloon Highway towards Western Harbour Crossing near Olympic MTR Station was closed.
