“Silver Bells (Amazon Original)” is Stephen Sanchez’s take on the 1950 Christmas classic, “Silver Bells”. The song was first performed by Bob Hope & Marilyn Maxwell in the 1951 motion picture, The Lemon Drop Kid (filmed in mid-1950). However, the first recorded version, released in 1950, was sung by Bing Crosby & Carol Richards. The track has since been covered by hundreds of other artists, including Dean Martin and Bob Dylan. Notably, Elvis Presley, who Stephen Sanchez has named as a musical influence on numerous occasions, also covered this song on his 1971 Christmas album, Elvis Sings the Wonderful World of Christmas.
