3 killed, 30 injured in Israeli airstrike on Lebanese southern city

        An Israeli airstrike on Friday night killed three people and injured 30 others in the southwestern Lebanese city of Tyre, according to Lebanese military sources and the health ministry.
        The strike involved two Israeli warplanes firing eight air-to-ground missiles at two buildings in central Tyre, igniting a large fire that destroyed the structures and caused extensive damage to nearby apartments, military sources said. The sources, speaking anonymously, described dozens of casualties amid widespread destruction.
        The National News Agency (NNA) reported that ambulances transported the wounded to local hospitals, while civil defense teams continued to search for victims beneath the rubble. With the casualty toll expected to rise, hospitals issued an urgent call for blood donations.
        The Civil Defense of the Islamic Message Scouts reported rescuing three survivors from the debris, with ongoing efforts to locate others.
        Since Sept. 23, the Israeli army has been launching an unprecedented, intensive air attack on Lebanon in a dangerous escalation with Hezbollah.
        The Lebanese health ministry reported on Friday that since the onset of hostilities on Oct. 8, 2023, Israeli airstrikes have killed 3,117 people and injured 13,888 across Lebanon.
