Yuika, a 19-year-old singer-songwriter, announced the release of her new digital single “It doesn’t have to be Christmas Day” (original Japanese title: クリスマスの日じゃなくていいから) on December 6th.
The song is a bittersweet medium ballad about a girl who wants to see her secret crush even if it is not on Christmas Day, making it a perfect song for the coming season (in Japan, especially among young people, Christmas Day is usually spent as a couple).
