Oslo US Embassy Bombing May Be Deliberate Attack

An explosion occurred at the US Embassy in Oslo, Norway, early Sunday, causing minor damage and injuring no one.



Norwegian police said the incident may be a deliberate attack related to the Middle East crisis.



No suspects have been identified, but police are searching for one or more possible persons involved in the incident.



Police said terrorism is one direction of the investigation, but other possibilities are also being investigated simultaneously.



Norwegian Foreign Minister Eid stated that the Norwegian government has contacted US Embassy officials and emphased that the security of diplomatic mission is of upmost priority .



A US State Department spokesperson stated that they were aware of the incident and are currently investigating.
