North Korea's Kim inspects special forces, weapons

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un inspected a special operations forces training base and attended tests of advanced battlefield weapons, state media KCNA said.

Kim also observed trials of a new main battle tank, with KCNA quoting him as saying it can counter nearly all existing anti-tank weapons.

Separately, he attended a ground test of a high-thrust solid-fuel engine for missiles using carbon fibre materials, which KCNA said had a maximum thrust of 2,500 kilonewtons and was part of a five-year plan to upgrade the country’s strategic strike capabilities.
