Indonesia asks Russia for oil products supplies
Russia has received a request from Indonesia for supplies of oil products, the state-run RIA news agency reported on Monday, citing Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev.
Tsivilev was quoted as saying that Moscow and Jakarta were also working on a long-term contract to supply energy resources.
The Kremlin said last week it was receiving a large number of requests for Russian energy from various countries, amid a global energy crisis triggered by the Iran war.
Disruptions to Middle Eastern shipments have sent oil prices soaring, providing a boost to Russia after Western sanctions over the conflict in Ukraine hit its key energy trade.
President Vladimir Putin held talks in Moscow earlier on Monday with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, who is on a working visit.
Ahead of the trip, Indonesia's foreign ministry said the talks would include the possibility of buying Russian oil.
