Burglars steal $610,000 in jewellery and cash from Repulse Bay flat

A 52-year-old woman has reported the theft of about HK$610,000 worth of jewellery and cash from her Repulse Bay home early on Tuesday morning.



Police received a report from the woman, surnamed Chan, at 12.30 in the morning that she returned home to find a window forced open and several jewellery boxes opened.



Officers arrived and according to the report the loss is estimated about HK$600,000 in jewellery and about HK$10,000 in cash.



The case has been classified as burglary and is being handled by the Western police district crime investigation team.



No arrests have been made so far.
