Metro Broadcast Corporation Limited ("Metro") went on air in July 1991. Since June 1996, it is wholly owned by Hong Kong-listed Cheung Kong Holdings Limited (stock code: 0001) and Hutchison Whampoa Limited (stock code: 0013). Metro currently operates three channels, namely Metro Finance (FM 104), Metro Info (FM 99.7) and Metro Plus (AM 1044).
According to ACNielsen Adex Report December 2008, Metro Broadcast has captured 57% of the share in the radio industry which shows a remarkable leap when compared with Year 2001 (only 28%).
