Speaking about the album, Mina shares:
I find that making songs in different environments can bring new inspiration and new ideas, so I really enjoyed being in Los Angeles for most of the album-making process. Now that the album is finished, I hope that listeners can hear that I am now older and have taken inspiration from many new sounds and experiences. One of the things that has stayed the same since my first album is that I am honest in my lyrics. This new album introduces many thoughts and sides of me that I have not shared before.
