Sheena Ringo will be back with her new album “forbidden” (original Japanese title: 禁じ手) on March 11th – true to its title, the album breaks her long-standing tradition of writing her own songs. Instead, it’s built entirely from guest appearances and co-productions with other artists and producers. The collaborator lineup spans an eclectic range: Ichiyo Izawa, ꉈꀧ꒒꒒ꁄꍈꍈꀧ꒦ꉈ ꉣꅔꎡꅔꁕꁄ (millennium parade), and Miliyah contribute tracks, while new joint works with Shutoku Mukai, BIGYUKI, Jun Miyake, and Hiromasa Ijichi are also set for inclusion, making for a total of 11 tracks. The album shares the same concept as the compilation album “Talk Of The Town” (original Japanese title: 浮き名) released in 2013, and the artwork, once again created by the renowned Japanese artist Akira Uno, is another highlight.
