Local Police Arrest Mainland Man for Theft on Flight from France

Police have arrested a Chinese mainlander for allegedly stealing valuables worth nearly HK$200,000 on a flight from France to Hong Kong.



Police received a report yesterday that a passenger had placed their carry-on luggage in an overhead compartment and subsequently discovered that bank cards, jewelry worth approximately HK$150,000, and HK$43,000 in cash were missing, suspecting theft.



Upon arrival, officers arrested a 45-year-old Chinese mainlander on suspicion of theft; he is currently being detained for investigation.
