Over 110 delegations to attend intl water conference in Tajikistan

More than 110 official delegations have confirmed participation in the 4th high-level International Conference on the International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development," scheduled for May 25-28 in the Tajik capital Dushanbe, a Tajik official said.



Speaking at a press briefing, Tajik Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sanoi Boyzoda said the conference will bring together representatives from UN member states, UN agencies, international and regional organizations, international financial institutions, academia, civil society, the private sector and youth organizations.



The broad international participation reflects growing global attention to sustainable water resource management, climate change and glacier protection, he said.
