6 wounded in Israeli attacks on E. Lebanon

Six people were wounded on Friday in an Israeli attack on eastern Lebanon, the Public Health Emergency Operations Center at the Ministry of Public Health said in a statement.

An Israeli drone targeted Hosh al-Sayyid Ali in the Hermel district, injuring six, including five Syrians and one Lebanese national, Lebanon's National News Agency reported.

The developments came amid continued tensions along the Lebanese-Israeli border despite a framework agreement signed between Lebanon and Israel in late June.

Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces said in a statement that it had struck a Syrian militant near the Syria-Lebanon border on Friday.

The statement did not specify whether the militant, identified as Yusuf Ali Al-Hassoun, was injured in the strike.

The Israeli military claimed that he had planned and advanced attacks against Israeli civilians and Israeli soldiers operating in southern Syria.
