        Social Welfare Department is highly concerned about the incident of male staff assaulting two students at the Hong Chi Institution for the Disabled and requires a comprehensive investigation and submission of improvement plans
        
        At a residential home for the disabled under the Hong Chi Association, a male staff member was suspected of assaulting two students while on duty. The male staff member involved has been fired, arrested and prosecuted by the police. The case has entered judicial proceedings.
        
        After receiving inquiries from parents in August, the Hong Chi Association launched an investigation, including reviewing CCTV footages, and found that two students were suspected of having been harmed. They called the police and reported the Social Welfare Department, and immediately fired the employees involved; emphasizing that the interests and welfare of the students have always been their top priority. Yigui adopts a zero-tolerance attitude and will never tolerate any inappropriate treatment of students; after the incident, it has dispatched a social work team and clinical psychologists to provide support and counseling to the affected students and their families, and has established a supervisory investigation committee on the incident. Supervise and review investigations and follow-up work submitted by management.
        
        The Social Welfare Department is paying close attention to the incident and requires the residential home for persons with disabilities and the Hong Chi Association involved to conduct a comprehensive investigation and submit an improvement plan to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
