The first test match at Kai Tak Sports Park was held at the Youth Sports Ground Sunday. More than 1,500 spectators came to watch the local football match.

Chief Secretary for Administration Chan Kwok-kee said that all aspects of the overall operation throughout the day were satisfactory, including crowd management, departure order, on-site announcements, instructions along the way and transportation arrangements. After the game, the first batch of citizens to leave left the stadium in about six or seven minutes and arrived at the MTR Song Wong Terrace Station a few minutes later. Questionnaires were handed out to all visitors, hoping to get their opinions. In addition, the police will summarize the situation and hold meetings with various departments later.

The secretary also said that the authorities will continue to conduct about 20 test events and drills, including drills with up to 50,000 people, to prepare for the full opening of the sports park in the first quarter of next year.

Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Kevin Yeung Yun-hung mentioned that the second test match will be held at the Kai Tak Youth Sports Ground 16 November. It is estimated that about 3,000 people will attend the venue. As for the indoor venue, he expects to hold the first test match in December this year. The main venue hopes to start hosting test matches in early January next year.
