10/11/2024 17:04
At least five persons died and nine others were injured when a private bus rammed into a stationary truck on an expressway in north India late on Saturday, confirmed a police officer on Sunday.

Among the dead were a 42-year-old woman and her two teenage children.

The mishap occurred on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, in the Firozabad district of the country's northern state of Uttar Pradesh, reportedly due to the recklessness of the bus driver.

The victims were traveling in the bus after carrying out a ceremony in the religious town of Mathura near Agra. Those injured were admitted to a local hospital.
There were around 20 people on the bus, all relatives and friends of the family that conducted the religious ceremony.
