Industrial accident at Chek Lap Kok Airport's third runway site

        An industrial accident occurred at the third terminal of Chek Lap Kok Airport. A male worker was crushed by a crane truck and was sent to the hospital for treatment while he was conscious.
        
        At around 10:00 pm Sunday, a 37-year-old male worker was pinned down while working with a crane truck on the third runway of the airport, and suffered injuries to his chest and back.
        
        Firefighters arrived at the scene and rescued the injured man. He was conscious and taken to North Lantau Hospital by ambulance for emergency treatment, and was later transferred to Princess Margaret Hospital.
        
        After preliminary investigation, the police classified the case as an industrial accident in which someone was injured; the cause of the accident remains to be investigated.
