A taxi on Tai Po Highway suspected of losing control

A taxi on Tai Po Highway was suspected of losing control and the entire vehicle reversed. The male driver of the taxi was injured and was sent to the hospital conscious. At around 12:00 am Thursday, a taxi without passengers was traveling along Tai Po Highway towards Kowloon. It was suspected that the road was slippery due to rain. The taxi lost control while turning left and hit a road sign on the left and then stopping on the slow lane. The debris of the taxi were scattered on the ground. The male taxi driver was trapped in the car for some time, then climbed out of the car on his own and sat on the side of the road waiting for rescue. He suffered injuries to his head, hands and feet, and was sent to Caritas Hospital for treatment. The police are investigating the cause of the accident. Due to the incident, the road was temporarily blocked for traffic.
