Police in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) have confirmed that multiple bomb threats targeting schools and kindergartens in several cities were false alarms, according to local authorities on Saturday.
Emailed bomb threats were reported Friday morning in the cities of Banja Luka, Doboj, Zvornik, and surrounding areas. The threats disrupted primary and secondary schools, as well as kindergartens, leading to the suspension of classes.
Authorities launched operations to address the situation, conducting inspections in the affected institutions. No explosive devices were found.
While the bomb threats have been categorized as hoaxes, investigations are ongoing to identify those responsible and to prevent similar incidents in the future.
