Pope Francis' condition remained stable

Pope Francis, battling
double pneumonia in hospital, remained stable throughout the day
on Sunday, was without a fever, and no longer required the use
of mechanical ventilation, the Vatican said.
Francis, 88, has been in Rome's Gemelli hospital since
February 14, when he was admitted for a severe respiratory
infection that triggered other complications.
