A female patient service assistant at hospital was suspected of being molested

A female patient service assistant at Tai Po Nethersole Hospital was suspected of being molested during the nursing process, and a 73-year-old male patient was arrested.



The incident happened at around 3 pm on Tuesday. The female patient service assistant was suspected of being molested while performing the nursing process for a 73-year-old male patient in the hospital's internal medicine ward. After receiving the report from the patient service assistant, the hospital immediately called the police; the police later arrested a 73-year-old male patient in the ward and handed the case over to the Tai Po Police District Criminal Investigation Team for follow-up.



The hospital is highly concerned about the incident and strongly condemns the suspected molestation of hospital employees. It adopts a "zero tolerance" attitude, seriously follows up the incident and fully cooperates with the police investigation. The hospital expresses its condolences and provides support to the female patient service assistant and has reported the incident to the Hospital Authority.
