Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein have exchanged views on Israel's renewed attacks against Gaza and Lebanon.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement, in a phone conversation on Monday, they discussed the latest developments in the Middle East region.
Iran's foreign minister condemned the continuation of Israel's "genocide in Gaza, frequent aggressions against Lebanon as well as killing of innocent women and children," saying they were being committed "in flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreements with Hamas and Hezbollah and with the U.S. green light."
Araghchi called on the international community, especially the regional and Muslim states, to take immediate actions to stop the "crimes and aggressions" and prevent the insecurity's spillover into the entire Middle East region.
He condemned the United States for "abusing" military bases and the airspace of regional nations to carry out "acts of aggression."
He said that all countries should take necessary measures to safeguard sovereignty and prevent foreign military forces from exploiting their territories and facilities to jeopardize the security of other states.
