The Commissioner's Office of the Chinese Foreign Ministry in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) said Thursday it condemned the U.S. gross interference in Hong Kong affairs.
The office said that Commissioner Cui Jianchun summoned U.S. Consul General in Hong Kong Gregory May on Wednesday to lodge solemn representations over the U.S. Department of State's so-called sanctions against six officials from the Chinese central government and the HKSAR government, as well as its release of the so-called "2025 Hong Kong Policy Act Report."
Cui strongly condemned and opposed the U.S. interference in Hong Kong affairs and China's internal affairs. China will resolutely adopt countermeasures against the United States' hegemonic and bullying behavior, he said.
