Lightning claims 3 lives in south India

At least three persons, including two women, died and a few others were injured by lightning and thunderstorms in India's southern state of Telangana on Thursday, confirmed a state government official.

While two women were killed in the state's Nagrkurnool area, the other one died in Jogulamda Gadwal district.

All the victims were working in agriculture fields when they were caught in bad weather with heavy rains. Their dead bodies had been recovered.

Those injured were admitted to a local hospital.
