Russian forces attacked Ukraine's northeastern Kharkiv region on Monday, killing one person in a border village, according to regional prosecutors.
The report on the Telegram messaging app, issued after the expiry of a 30-hour Easter ceasefire announced by Moscow, said a Russian drone struck and killed a man on a scooter in the village of Ivashki.
It added that a Russian artillery strike hit an area of private homes in Kupiansk, a focus of increased Russian military activity in recent months.
Kupiansk was occupied by Russian forces in the early weeks of Russia's February 2022 invasion of Ukraine, but recaptured by Ukrainian troops in a mass counter-offensive later that year.
Russian forces have been attacking the city and have entered it briefly on at least one occasion.
