5/8/2025 2:21
At least 302 people have lost their lives and 727 others have been injured in rain-related accidents across Pakistan since June 26, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said on Monday.

According to the NDMA's latest report, two people died and 12 sustained injuries during the past 24 hours as torrential monsoon rains continued to batter various parts of the country.

The eastern Punjab province remained the worst-affected, with 163 deaths and 579 injuries reported. In the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, 71 people have died and 86 others have been injured.

Authorities have warned of heavy monsoon rains in the upper and central parts of the country from Aug. 5 to 10, and advised provincial governments to carry out relief operations and monitor vulnerable areas amid the ongoing rainfall.
