Iran says latest talks with IAEA show 'positive trend'

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said Monday that the latest talks with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Iran's nuclear program had "reflected a positive trend."
At a weekly press conference in Tehran, Baghaei said the two sides had not yet reached a conclusion on resuming cooperation during the latest round of talks in Vienna on Friday and Saturday, stressing that the Iranian delegation had conveyed its concerns to the UN nuclear watchdog over the safety and security of the country's nuclear facilities.
Iran suspended cooperation with the IAEA after Israeli and U.S. attacks on its nuclear facilities and the assassination of its nuclear scientists in June. Tehran has said any IAEA inspections must be approved by its Supreme National Security Council, and that the suspension will remain in place unless the safety of its sites and scientists is guaranteed.
