Iranian president says ready to expand ties with Oman

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said here on Monday that Tehran is ready to expand cooperation with Oman in all areas, during a meeting with visiting Omani Interior Minister Hamoud bin Faisal al-Busaidi, according to a statement from the president's office.

Pezeshkian said Iran seeks to boost cooperation with Muscat in scientific, economic, cultural, social, and political fields, highlighting what he called the "longstanding and cordial" ties between the two nations.
He praised Oman's "constructive role" in regional affairs and said the two countries have supported each other through regional challenges.
Al-Busaidi described the bilateral relations as "historic and special," saying Pezeshkian's visit to Oman in May and the agreements signed then had set a "clear path" for future cooperation.
