Home Affairs Department opens 19 temporary cooling centers

The extreme heat weather warning is now in effect. The Home Affairs Department has opened a total of 19 community halls and community centers as temporary heat escape centers in Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories.
During the period when the hot weather warning is in effect, the center will be open to the public to escape the heat all day long. In addition, from 10:30 last night to 8:00 this morning, the center will provide quilts and sleeping places to those in need, and there will be personnel on duty in the center.
