Singapore police investigate 77 for illegal moneylending

Singaporean police are investigating 77 suspects for unlicensed moneylending following an enforcement operation from Oct. 14 to Oct. 18, according to the latest statement from the police.
Preliminary investigations showed that 11 suspects conducted harassment at debtors' residences, and 23 assisted unlicensed moneylenders by carrying out ATM transfers.
The remaining 43 helped illegal moneylenders to open and use their bank accounts.
Investigations against the suspects, aged from 17 to 71, are ongoing.
