Most overnight public transport suspended

Gale or Storm Signal No. 8 is now in effect and will remain in effect until at least 10 a.m. High-speed rail train services will continue to operate normally. KMB overnight routes will be suspended, and some late-night or overnight special routes will also be suspended. Service of Long Wan Route N31 is suspended; the remaining N and NA routes from Tung Chung and the airport to the New Territories will maintain normal services, while the services from the New Territories to Tung Chung and the airport will be suspended. All Citybus routes, including overnight routes, are suspended. New Lantau Bus N37, N38, B4 and B6 maintain limited services, while other overnight routes are suspended. The Education Bureau announced that all morning schools and full-time schools will be closed today. Class arrangements for afternoon schools and evening schools will be announced later. The Hong Kong Exchange confirmed that adverse weather trading arrangements will come into effect and all its markets will continue to operate fully. The Gold and Silver Industry Exchange stated that all transactions on the electronic trading platform are carried out as usual. If the typhoon signal No. 8 or above is lifted at or before 12 noon, the Hong Kong Gold Open Outcry Market will resume trading in the afternoon. Otherwise, the market will be closed for the whole day.
