The religious thriller "Conclave" and musical fantasy film "Wicked" led the 30th Critics Choice Awards film nominations, with 11 nominations each, the Critics Choice Association (CCA), the largest critics organization in the United States and Canada, announced on Thursday.

All four of those films were nominated for best picture, together with "A Complete Unknown," "Anora," "The Brutalist," "Nickel Boys," "Sing Sing," and "The Substance."
The organization representing almost 600 media critics and entertainment journalists also announced that "Sh?gun," a historical drama television series, led the television contenders for the 30th annual Critics Choice Awards with six nominations.
"This year brought us an incredible wealth of storytelling and performances, leading to indescribably close races for nominations," said CCA CEO Joey Berlin in a news release, adding that "we are honored to be able to celebrate our landmark 30th year of the Critics Choice Awards with this talented group of nominees and are thrilled to bring viewers our best show yet."
The Critics Choice Awards are bestowed annually to honor the finest in cinematic and television achievement. CAA noted in its news release that "historically, they are the most accurate predictor of Academy Award nominations."
