341 terrorists eliminated in Pakistan in Jan-Oct

Pakistan's security forces and law enforcement agencies conducted 12,801 operations across the country during the first 10 months of this year, resulting in the elimination of 341 terrorists, according to a report submitted by the country's Ministry of Interior to the National Assembly on Thursday.

The operations were launched based on intelligence reports indicating the presence of militants in targeted areas, the ministry said.

About 800 individuals were also arrested on terrorism charges from across the country, including 400 from eastern Punjab province, 203 from northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, 173 from southwestern Balochistan province, 21 from south Sindh province, and three from north Gilgit-Baltistan region.

In cases related to financing terrorism, 2,466 individuals were arrested, and 526 were convicted.

The security forces recovered a total of 581 million rupees (over 2 million U.S. dollars) from terrorists.
