Russia detains man suspected of killing senior army officer

Russian authorities had detained a man suspected of planting a car bomb that killed a senior Russian army official, Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) said Saturday.
The FSB said in a statement, the suspect, allegedly an agent of the Ukrainian special services, holds a Ukrainian residence permit.
According to the Russian Investigative Committee, Russian Lieutenant General Yaroslav Moskalik, deputy chief of the General Staff's main operations directorate, was killed Friday in a car explosion in Balashikha, a Moscow suburb.
