In Happy Valley, a thief was found moving a safe from a unit by a neighbor, who called the police and followed him. The thief finally abandoned the safe and fled.



At about 7pm last night, the police received a report from a male resident of Shiu Fai Terrace in Happy Valley, who suspected that thieves had broken into a neighboring unit and taken away a safe. The neighbor then called the police and followed the thieves to the stairs near the children's playground on Stubbs Road. After being discovered by the thieves, they abandoned the safe on the roadside and fled.



After preliminary investigation, the police pointed out that there were jewelry worth about 200,000 yuan in the safe, and the owner did not suffer any loss. It is not ruled out that the safe was too heavy, so the thief abandoned it and fled. The case was classified as a burglary. The police are looking for a man about 40 to 50 years old, about 1.7 to 1.8 meters tall, thin, wearing a blue top and dark pants, a black hat and a mask at the time of the incident.
