Thai PM says military ready to protect sovereignty

Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra said on Friday the military was ready to defend the country's sovereignty amid a border dispute with Cambodia. Paetongtarn, speaking after a two-hour meeting with the National Security Council on the border issue with Cambodia, said the military understood the situation and when escalation would be required.
