Iran, Saudi Arabia call for immediate actions in support of Palestinians

Iran and Saudi Arabia on Friday highlighted the necessity to take practical and immediate actions to halt Israel's ongoing military offensive against Palestinians, according to a statement released by the Iranian Foreign Ministry.



In a phone call, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and his Saudi counterpart, Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, discussed the latest developments in the West Asia region and the broader international dynamics.



They underscored the importance of leveraging regional and international mechanisms to end the hostility in Gaza, including through the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and joint Islamic-Arab mechanisms.



The Saudi foreign minister voiced his country's readiness to work towards the achievement of those objectives.
