Azerbaijan's parliament on Friday ratified an agreement with China establishing a mutual visa-free travel regime for holders of ordinary passports, Sputnik Azerbaijan reported.
Lawmakers approved the agreement in a single reading during a plenary session of the Milli Majlis (the parliament of Azerbaijan). The pact allows citizens of both countries to travel without a visa for stays of up to 30 days per visit, and no more than 90 days within a 180-day period.
The visa exemption applies only to short-term visits. Travelers planning to stay longer than 30 days, or seeking residence, employment, education, or work in media and other regulated fields, must obtain a visa and the appropriate permits in advance.
