2 dead after migrant boat sinks in Aegean Sea

Greece's coast guard said on Monday that it had recovered the bodies of two women and found 39 migrants on the island of Farmakonisi, following the sinking of a boat in the Aegean Sea.



A rescue operation is underway to locate any additional survivors, as the 39 rescued individuals have been transferred to a larger nearby island, according to Greek authorities.



The total number of people on board the vessel, their nationalities, and the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.
