Pakistan's Anti-Narcotics Force seizes 721 kg drugs in 10 operations

        The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) of Pakistan seized 721 kg of drugs and arrested 10 accused in different operations, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman here on Thursday.
        The spokesperson said that the ANF personnel conducted 10 operations across the country and arrested 10 culprits who were actively involved in drug smuggling.
        According to the official, 588 kg of hashish was recovered from the possession of an accused arrested in Quetta, capital of the country's southwest Balochistan province.
        The official added that the ANF recovered 2.7 kg ice from two parcels booked for Australia and 5.5 kg ice from a parcel booked for New Zealand in the southern port city of Karachi and in the eastern city of Lahore, respectively.
        A raiding party impounded a vehicle at the Motorway near capital Islamabad and recovered 44.4 kg of hashish and 27.6 kg opium and arrested an accused.
        "In two separate operations in Karachi, the ANF seized 36 kg hashish and 10 kg of opium and arrested four suspects," added the spokesperson.
        The ANF registered cases against the arrested accused and launched further investigations, said the official.
