LCSD facilities to be free on October 1

        To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, a number of recreational facilities of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will be available to the public for free on October 1, National Day.
        
        Citizens can submit lottery applications through "SmartPLAY Leisure Link" from tomorrow to next Friday. The results of the computer lottery will be announced on September 23. The SmartPLAY system will notify successful users of the time period and number of sessions. The winner does not need to confirm. If there are users who have not been assigned or applied for free time slots and sessions can make reservations through the SmartPLAY system on a first-come, first-served basis. Whether through lottery or first-come-first-served booking, each person can only book one session of free recreational facilities, if available, on the same day.
        
        There is no need to make a reservation for public swimming pool facilities. Citizens only need to queue up at the entrance of the swimming pool before the swimming pool opening hours. Seats are on a first-come, first-served basis.
        
        The Leisure and Cultural Services Department urges hirers to arrive on time and make good use of various facilities. If the hirer cannot register the venue within the first ten minutes of the reserved time period and session, the relevant facilities will be available to other guests on a first-come, first-served basis. The user must use the facility in the same manner as the original hirer. If the original hirer subsequently arrives, the user must return the facility immediately.
