28/5/2025 12:49
Components of the weather radar system from the aircraft that operated Singapore Airlines Flight SQ321, which experienced severe turbulence in May 2024, have been sent to the United States for examination and testing, local media reported.

According to an interim statement released Tuesday, Singapore's Transport Safety Investigation Bureau said that the test results are still pending, and the final accident report will be made public when the inquiry has concluded.

The bureau noted that investigations into the turbulence incident are ongoing and being conducted in accordance with international protocols.

On May 20, 2024, the flight SQ321 carried 211 passengers and 18 crew members from London to Singapore and diverted to Thailand after encountering severe turbulence. The incident killed one passenger and injured dozens.
