UAE president discusses bilateral cooperation with Syrian leader

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday met visiting Syrian leader Ahmed Al-Sharaa, according to the UAE's state news agency WAM.



The two leaders discussed ways to enhance the relations between the two countries, focusing on economic cooperation aimed at serving mutual interests, the WAM said.



Exchanging views on regional issues of common concern, they noted that the joint efforts to strengthen the foundations of peace, security, and stability in the Middle East are significant in promoting regional prosperity and development.



Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE's continued support for the Syrian people and all efforts that align with their aspirations for stability, development, and a prosperous future.



Al-Sharaa expressed his appreciation to the UAE for its consistent support for Syria and praised Sheikh Mohamed's commitment to advancing bilateral relations.
