A Kwai Chung shop was broken into and a total of $20,000 in cash stolen

A shop in Kwai Chung was burgled, resulting in a total loss of $20,000 in cash. A 51-year-old man was arrested in connection with the case.
The police received a report yesterday morning that a shop on Shek Yam Road in Kwai Chung had signs of being ransacked and was suspected of being burglarized.
The police arrived at the scene after receiving the report and found that the back door of the involved store had been pried open. After preliminary investigation, it was determined that the store lost a total of about $20,000 in cash.
After police investigation, at about 7:00 pm, a 51-year-old local man was arrested in Kwai Chung Village on suspicion of burglary. The clothes the arrested man was suspected of wearing when committing the crime were seized, as well as a batch of suspected burglary tools, including screwdrivers and angle grinders, flashlight and gloves. The arrested man is being detained for investigation.
