Fire breaks out in a village house on Shek O Village Road;

A fire broke out in a village house on Shek O Village Road, injuring a foreign couple.



At approximately 1 p.m., police received multiple reports of smoke billowing from the scene, suggesting a fire. Firefighters arrived and extinguished the blaze. Preliminary investigations indicate an electrical short circuit caused the fire. A 60-year-old foreign man and his 51-year-old wife suffered hand injuries and were conscious and taken to Eastern Hospital for treatment.



Firefighters found a cat at the scene, which was certified dead at the scene.
