11 terrorists killed in separate operations in NW Pakistan

Eleven terrorists were killed in three separate operations in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military said on Wednesday.



The security forces conducted intelligence-based operations in Tank, North Waziristan and Mohmand districts of KP, the Inter-Services Public Relations, the media wing of the Pakistan Army, said in a statement.



During the operation in the Tank district, seven terrorists were killed during a clash between security forces and terrorists, said the ISPR statement.



In a separate operation, after an intense fire exchange, two terrorists were killed in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan district, the ISPR said.



In the third encounter that took place in the Mohmand district of the province, two terrorists were killed.



Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as innocent civilians, it added.



A clearance operation is being carried out to eliminate the presence of other terrorists in the area.
