Suspicious car in Mongkok contained drugs worth $1.6 million

Police intercepted a suspicious private car in Mong Kok, seized drugs worth about 1.6 million yuan, and arrested a male driver.



During a patrol at around 4pm, the Emergency Unit of the Mong Kok Police District intercepted a suspicious private car on Reclamation Street and seized about 1.3kg of suspected cannabis buds, 5kg of suspected cannabis oil, about 300g of candies containing cannabis ingredients, and 56 suspected drug stamps. A 40-year-old local male driver was arrested on suspicion of "trafficking in dangerous drugs" and is currently being detained for investigation.
