Jordan's king urges de-escalation in West Bank in call with Canadian PM

King Abdullah II of Jordan on Saturday urged an end to the dangerous Israeli escalation in the West Bank.
In a phone call with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the king stressed the need to establish a political path toward a just and comprehensive peace in the occupied Palestinian territory, according to a statement from the Royal Court.
He also underscored the importance of rebuilding Gaza without displacing its residents, ensuring a ceasefire, and intensifying international humanitarian efforts.
Additionally, the two leaders discussed strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation across various sectors.
