No one injured in fire at Portland Street subdivided flat

A fire broke out in a subdivided flat on the fourth floor of a tenement building at 183 Portland Street, Mong Kok, at around 1:00 a.m. Firefighters arrived at the scene and put out the fire with fire hoses. No one was injured. During this time, more than a dozen residents evacuated to the street. Preliminary investigations suggest that a short circuit in the air conditioner in the unit caused the fire.
